Hey, my name is William Hammack, and I’m a senior writer for our BHS newspaper. This is my second year in print journalism, and a year I’m incredibly thankful for. I’ve been introduced to new friendships and lessons I never imagined would come from this opportunity. After being part of the newspaper’s inaugural year and returning to do it my senior year, I’ve been immensely grateful to watch it grow and create new avenues for those interested in writing and journalism. As I continue to higher education, I’m certain the skills and attributes I’ve learned from this class will enable me to adjust more quickly to the shift away from the high school I’ve come to love. Following this school year, I plan to go to Mississippi College and major in Political Science with a pre-law focus. And while I’m sad to go, I can’t put into words how eager I am to see what the next few years hold for the BHS newspaper.
