Premiere is here! December 7th, 8th, and 9th, the BHS Show Choir held its annual showcase of everything each group under its umbrella has worked on all year. The night began with a moment of silence for Griffin Mangum, a beloved member and extremely important leader of the group who passed away recently. Our show choirs chose to decorate a Christmas tree in Griffin’s honor, filled with ornaments that were representative of the special memories they shared with Griffin. Each night would be dedicated to him, with students performing their hearts out exactly the way Griffin would have wanted. Brio, the high school’s mixed group, and Bella’s, the high school all-girl group, opened up the night with their fall set. After that, the two middle school groups, Blitz and Boom, would perform their competition sets. Soloist performances were on full display throughout the weekend with special performances from Case Farnham, Camden and Carsen Flowers, Kylie Pitts, and more. Bella’s and Brio would close out each night by performing their competition shows. Premiere was a big success and a great start to the season, but more importantly, it was the perfect way to honor Griffin, doing what he loved. We can’t wait to see what the BHS Show Choir will accomplish during this competition season.
