At BHS, we take pride in our school’s ability to produce fantastic athletes. In the wake of our volleyball girls’ 19th sweep of the season on Tuesday, we at the Paw Print thought it was time to shed some light on the team’s achievements so far. So, let’s start with the headlines: ranked #8 in the region, #1 in the state, and 24-2 on the season so far. The team puts out 11 kills per match, 5.7 blocks per match, and 3.4 aces per set- all much higher than the national average.
This year, the team also boasts a roster of incredible seniors: Emily Davis, Emma Levingston, Taylor Shane Parker, Kallie Johnson, and Sophie Warren, who have all committed to play volleyball at the collegiate level. The team is better than ever and looking to add another piece of hardware to the trophy cabinet at the end of this season. That said, the season’s not over, and we expect to see the student section packed at every game. We are so proud of our volleyball team and wish them the best of luck through the remainder of their season!
