Hello! My name is Camden Flowers. I am honored and privileged to introduce myself as the Editor-In-Chief of the Brandon High School Alumni Newsletter: Bully’s Buzz. I began my journalism journey during my sophomore year when Bully’s Buzz was created. When we were given the assignment of “create a NEW Alumni newsletter,” no one knew what that would be. We tried different layout styles, story types, and staff members until we found the voice of this paper. I can confidently say that these past few years have been years of progress- not just for Bully’s Buzz but also for myself. I started writing for this paper as a timid writer who didn’t know why she was writing. However, while writing for BHS, I have found that I enjoy giving my perspective to those around me. I long to fill pages with information while also offering thought-provoking insight. As Editor-in-chief, I have ensured that Bully’s Buzz is a paper filled with perspective and thought. However, The paper you are about to read is by no means perfect, but I assure you that every word has been carefully thought over and given our full attention. It is my hope that Bully’s Buzz becomes something you look forward to reading every month.
