The word of the month for November is gratitude! Oxford Dictionary defines gratitude as “the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.” To me, gratitude means appreciating the little things people do for you and getting over your pride to say “thank you.” This month is marked by the Thanksgiving holiday, a time for giving thanks and eating too much food with your family; regardless of your traditions, make it a point to show your gratitude to the friends and family who have positively affected you.
The December word of the month is generosity! The Oxford Dictionary defines generosity as “the quality of being kind and generous.” This Christmas season, we can embrace generosity by being kind to one another. Giving gifts or performing acts of service are perfect ways to be generous and show your loved ones that you care! Merry Christmas, Brandon High School! Spread cheer, and draw near to those special people in your life!
