At the beginning of this month, the newspaper staff sent out a Google form asking students and teachers to tell us their “Hot Takes,” or opinions that are often sensational. People used the form for what they wanted, and many chose to share appreciation. We had a variety of responses, such as people missing Coach O’s morning announcements, BHS having the best defensive line in the state, the color guard deserving more acknowledgment, and that the dance team has always been the best. Our students and staff chose to use our questionnaire as an outlet for appreciation. Though we asked specifically for “Hot Takes,” I think that it’s funny how the majority of its replies were just to focus on what we have. Brandon has always supported their community, and it’s obvious that that trait has been passed down.
