Brandon High School’s show choir started off the month of October strong with their annual Brandon’s Got Talent fundraiser! They spent Tuesday, October 1st watching elementary and middle school students perform and move audiences with their talents. On Thursday, October 3rd, they watched many of their own members and other students take the stage to showcase their voices. They each performed their hearts out and many of them were invited back for finals! On Friday, October 4th, performers came back to compete for the winning titles and the prizes that came with them. Each night, Brio and Bellas performed their 2024 season fall show, and this event showcased their groups for the second time this year. Jonah Wade, who won grand champion, sang Walking In Memphis by Marc Cohn while he played the piano. He chose this song as a tribute to his mother, who said it was her favorite song. Case Farnham, who won second place, sang Vienna by Billy Joel. His voice sent chills across the audience, and I can say with confidence that his performance was a fan favorite. Sharing the third place spot, Caylie Thomas sang Defying Gravity by Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, Shepard Creely sang You’ll Be Back by Jonathan Groff from the Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton, and Shelby Purvis sang Mean by Taylor Swift. This event was so special, and looked forward to by many. I can’t wait to watch and perform again next year!
