In the third nine weeks, before we took our spring break family trips and slept in until noon, Brandon High School had its annual Make-A-Wish Pep rally to honor one of our own, Shepherd Moore, battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The morning was full of excitement, school spirit, and games between our faculty and students. Students won the candy toss and the cup stacking challenge. Faculty returned to win the balloon pop and the basketball game by two points. Brandon High School partners with Make a Wish Mississippi each year to make a kid’s wish come true. This ear, we presented Make a Wish Mississippi with a check for $6,135 to help cover the fees and expenses of Moore’s dream of traveling to the British Isles. Way to go, Bulldogs! Our community appreciates and thanks everyone who contributed to this generous donation to make Shepherd Moore’s wish come true!
