My name is Brogan Puckett. I have been a part of Print Journalism for two years and I am the senior editor of The Paw Print, the student newsletter. I plan on attending Mississippi College for physical therapy. In this class, I witnessed and learned how special all people are. This year, I especially learned to appreciate the unique beauty of humans. As my time at Brandon ends, I can already feel myself missing the shared conversations, meals, and memories with my Print Journalism peers. This class has better prepared me for the workforce by teaching me the importance of communication, organization, and time management. This class has also prepared me for life by showing me the value of friendships and how to deal with grief. After the passing of my former co-editor and friend, Griffin Mangum, I was moved in a whole new way after understanding the deep comfort and connection this supposed “random” class of people could cultivate with each other. My teacher, Mrs. Elkins, and classmates gave me a fresh perspective and appreciation for human connection. So thank you, Print Journalism, for all I have learned and the memories I have made. I will miss this group of people tremendously, and I am so grateful for everything they have taught me. I wish Print Journalism the best of luck, and I can not wait to see how they continue growing, inspiring, and succeeding!
