Here at BHS, we love to recognize students who excel inside and outside the classroom. One student entrepreneur, Laila Hayes, gave us the details of her business in an interview. Her small business, “Laila’s Custom Creations,” has been running for about one and a half years, where she creates custom clothing. Laila’s inspiration came from fashion and entrepreneurship videos on TikTok, and she noticed that was where she excelled. Her aunt also helped make the business by assisting Laila in thinking outside the box and supporting her with her passions. Her business can get stressful at times since it’s self-run. She makes sure to perfect her sketches and use the correct tools. Laila sincerely enjoys seeing how her customers style her products and how meaningful they are to them.
